We’re building the world’s most powerful lasers to commercialize the ultimate energy source for the 21st century and beyond. Today we’re announcing the person who will help tell that story.
Rachel Konrad joins Xcimer as SVP of Strategic Communications – a new role for the company, but not for Rachel.
She’s helped shape and amplify the narratives for companies that most people dismissed as impossible. She joined Tesla when it had delivered about 20 cars, directing communications through the Model S launch and IPO. She joined Impossible Foods when it was a pre-revenue, stealth biotech startup – then helped generate mass-market awareness with partners including Walmart, Kroger, Burger King and others.
More recently, she was Chief Brand Officer at David Friedberg’s venture firm, focused on scientific breakthroughs in climate, energy, and health. She was also a lecturer at Stanford University Graduate School of Business, teaching communication skills for emerging business leaders.
Rachel knows how to make hard science land with people who aren’t scientists. That’s what fusion requires. Welcome, Rachel!
